  1. Peter Says:

Hello everybody! And thank you for voting for me! I would like to thank the author of the article because with out him there would be no knowledge. I would also like to, once again, thank all of my fellow class mates, but only if you voted for me. If you did not vote for me I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN! And that is a promise!
However in the mist of my natural high, I would like to extend my sincere condolences to my fellow runner-ups, Micheal, Alex, Connor, and Jacob. Jacob and Connor, even though you lost do not feel bad because you won something else, and hey you can’t win them all.
You see the story of my success is a quite pleasing story. However, it is a very long story and I will not be able to fit it into this comment box. So I will tell you the abbreviated story. Basically, I came home Saturday night and I had only made one comment for the second block and I did not feel like I was going to be able to write four amazing, acceptable comments by twelve-o-clock Sunday night. So being the resourceful person I found this article on sciencedaily.com and I thought to myself, “If this applies to myself, it must apply to at least one other person.” Thus “The Motivational Donut” was born. And it was BEAUTIFUL! As an un-educated person might ask, “Were you surprised to find you name on the nomination list?” The answer my sad, sad friend is a plain NO. Of course before I even sent in the best post in the world, I knew that I would be nominated and I might even win. As you can see I am proud of my post and I would not be disappointed if I found money in the mail form one of my fans. Tis true, parting is such sweet sorrow.

  2. maryclaire Says:

Even though I did not win, which I thought would be appropriate, well done Richie. I always thought..may the best man win..well in my case “woman” but i guess that isn’t relevant… Well even though this gives me a dissapointing feeling every time i type in miss bakers biology blog I will come to acceptance with this tribulation and write better posts that may not get an award, but will in my heart.
Anyways, I thought this was a great idea to reminice on all the past comments and blogs throughout this year. This blog was a fun way to learn about biology and the interesting things going on in our world, some good, some bad. Thanks for this opportunity Miss Baker!

  3. Taylor Says:

Congratulations everybody! Peter, that was a heck of a speech by the way. And I voted for you so don’t worry about hunting me down or anything. Actually, its funny, the majority of the people I voted for ended up winning so again congratulations everybody!

  4. Brantley Says:

Peter… so modest. It really was a good post! All of the nominees had really good posts! I learned alot this year from the blog!

  5. Rachel Says:

Congratulations to everyone who won, as taylor and maryclaire have already said. And thank you Peter for your acceptance speech haha.

I’m happy to win for the tanning bed blog! =]

  6. Matt Says:

Congratulations to everyone in our class on a fabulous blog project! Congratulations to Connor. You are a very good writer and I enjoyed reading your posts. Congratulations to Emily R. Your ecology post was an inspiring one. And congratulations to Kelsey. Your medical post was quit inquisitive and topped mine. I am sad to say I did not vote for any of you only because i voted for myself:) The blog has been a great tool for learning and sharing biology it has helped me in many ways. Again congratulations to all the winners and nominees, and to everyone else on a great year with the blog!

  7. jake Says:

I would like to extend my congrats to everyone who was nominated or won! I would really like to acknowledge Bryant and Connor. Bryant, congrats buddy, whenever I would go to comment on a blog post it always seemed as if you were the first one to comment….and your comments were longer than the actual post! And Connor, I gotta say you wrote the most interesting posts on this blog! I mean every one you did was related to biology yet identified with us and what the students thought was cool. Whether you talked about Halo, Jurassic Park, or an octopus and shark fighting it always drew me in. Thanks, everyone, for making the blog, as well as the first annual blog awards so cool!

  8. Richie Says:

Yay, a big thank you to everyone who voted for my lyrebird post! I really enjoyed writing that post and i hope that it helped many of you see how amazing the animals of our earth can be. Congrats to everyone else that won in their categories as well! I’de just like to say that this year has been an awesome school year and everyone has done a great job posting and commenting on this blog to make it as amazing as it is. This blog really has the ability to change the world we live in today by changing people’s views on nature and motivating them to help protect it and show nature the proper respect that it deserves.

  9. BRyant Says:

    Haha- funny Peter!

Thanks Jake for the congrats, but still, I guess you were right about my comments being longer than the actuall post. Yeah, I did get alittle carried away. But still, I mean, writing comments is the easiest thing anyone can do to earn good blog points. The key is to just read the post and write about how you feel. Also, read some comments, and respond to other peoples comments-agree, dissagree, say you dont know what to say, agree to dissagree-something, as long as you prove your point and make an intelligent remark. I didnt get all of point so early first semester because I just loved the blog, it was just because it was kind of easy for me to tell people what I thought about stuff. Anyways, thanks you all for voting for me.

At any rate, good thing to see at least a few people still check out this blog. Thanks Ms.Baker for the enormous effort you put into being a good teacher. You really outdid yourself this year, so thanks. Also, I will still check the blog should you decide to keep it up-I’ll also send in a post or two if I get the chance next year, which shouldnt be too much trouble with the way my schedule flopped on me for next year-no more AP World History it looks like-oh well, free time isnt a bad thing if you know what to do with it, right. Thanks so much for everything.
